Oftentimes life brings us to places where we feel lost or as if we’re walking in darkness, blind and unsure of where our next step is or should be. Maybe it's a relationship issue you feel you can't conquer, a child you're not sure how to guide, or a personal battle of the mind, my goal is to act as a safe, non-judgmental, guiding light to help you navigate through the challenges of life. Whether you are struggling for the first time, or have been living in the darkness for a while, my desire is to walk alongside you to help you find the path that will bring hope, healing, freedom, and peace. No one is meant to travel through the storms of life alone.

I look forward to walking with you!

Let your hope be your lighthouse beckoning you through stormy seas.

ABOUT ME

For the past 8 years I have lived and worked in Sacramento, after returning from LA where I received my Bachelors and Masters degrees. I am happy to be back in Sacramento where I had the privilege to be born and raised. Working for the Sacramento Children’s Home Counseling Center for the first 5 years of my career revealed the love and passion I have for providing therapy to children and families. I believe that therapy can be most effective when the entire family is involved. I have been trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and enjoy encouraging and supporting caregivers as they learn how to navigate the joys and struggles of parenting. I have also been trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which allows me to help others process and find healing from past traumatic events. Having had a range of experiences throughout my career has equipped me to provide services to children, adolescents, young adults, families, and individual adults. For the past 3 years I have been running my own private practice in Roseville, adding military families to my repertoire of clients.

My own journey of healing has also given me the insight to know how to manage the rough seas that may come. I profess to be a Christian whose faith dictates my own personal values, and I am eager to work with clients from all backgrounds, cultures, religions, and ethnicities. I know that coming to therapy might feel like a giant leap, but I encourage you to take that step. You deserve to have the support that you need!

EXPERIENCE

I have had the privilege to work with individuals, couples, children, teens, and families to provide support for anxiety, depression, behavior issues, parenting concerns, communication challenges, and family relationship difficulties. From the beginning of my career I worked as a school counselor at a middle school and high school providing direct services for adolescents and their families. While working at the Sacramento Children's Home Counseling Center from 2012-2017, I was able to offer Trauma-focused treatment, direct parenting support to increase caregivers' ability to manage their children's behavior concerns, and offered general mental health support for issues such as depression, anxiety, adjustment to changes in life, and anger control. Following my time at the Children's Home, I started my private practice as well as worked as the Director of Counseling at a nonprofit called Grace City, serving inner city youth and youth adults. I also have a passion for working with all members of the family in order to bring about lasting change for the full family unit.
